WHO WE ARE
Juinor Chamber International (JCI) is a worldwide membership-based non-profit organization of young active citizens ages 18 to 40.
Active citizens are individuals from all sectors of society who are invested in the future of their community, country and the world. They develop skills, knowledge and understanding to make informed decisions and take actions.

As active citizens, JCI members are not just focused on charity work or service to the community. Through active citizenship, JCI encourage young people to take responsibility for local issues, and find targeted, sustainable solutions that benefit our communities and the world. We believe that these solutions can only be reached by involving all sectors of society. JCI aims to be the driving force in uniting government, businesses and civil society to create sustainable impact.
HOW WE DO IT
Sustainable impact is achieved through the collaboration ownership of challenges, solutions and action by all stakeholders across local communities and the world. The ACF process consists of assessing community needs, formulating sustainable solutions and evaluating results to ensure sustainability. Community partners, business owners and government officials are engaged throught each step of the process.
OUR HISTORY
JCI's founder Henry Giessenbier, Jr. decide to take responsibility for the progess of his community when he establisedh JCI's first Local Organization is St., Louis, USA in 1915. When delegates from eight countires met in Mexico City in 1944, they agreed it was time to officially form Junior Chamber International (JCI). This tradition in uniting young active citizens across cultures, backgrounds, and borders fueled the JCI movement and set the groundwork for taking action to create a better world.
Since then, JCI members around the globe have collaborated on projects ranging from assisting refugees, providing medical care, advancing education, and promoting equality in support of the United Millennium Development Goals (UNMDG).
JCI IN THE WORLD
With areound 5,000 JCI Local Organization in more than 100 nations, JCI forms a vibrant global community of nearly 200,000 active citizens. All members belong to a JCI Local Organization whre they focus on finding solutions to issues in their community.
The collective action of all JCI Local Organizations forms a global grassroots movement, empowering members to run effective programs, exchanging ideas and best practices, and work together with partners to help improve their communities and the world.
JCI PHILIPPINES
Junior Chamber International Philippines (JCI Philippines) or what was known then as the Philippine Jaycees, is an affiliate of Junior Chamber International (JCI) and registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
The National Headquarters of JCI Philippines is located at 14 Don Alejandro Roces Ave., Quezon City. The three-story building houses the Secretariat who provides membership and development services to the JCI Local Organizations and members all over the country.
JCI COTABATO
The first seed of Jayceeism was first sowed here in COtabato sometime in the arly part of 1949 by Ramon "Ram" Morada of the Davao Jaycees. As a result of his sharing of wisdom of Jayceeism, an organization was formed and the pioneering Cotabato chapter came into existence with Jose "Pepe" Sarenas as its helm. The charter of the chapter was formally presented on August 13, 1949 by then National President Ramon del Roasio in Davao City.
Throughout the decades since Hayceeism first took root in this part of the country, the JCI Cotabato have given to the Chamber some of its finest leaders and many of its finest hours. Year after year, more and more young men look towards the chamber as a fertile ground floor for the development of their leadership abilities and improvement of theri social life. Jayceeism in COtabato has produced a tradition than can compare with any organization in the Philippines.
